Soft-tissue injuries can include sprains, strains and trauma, like whiplash from a motor vehicle accident or sport, however, the most common injuries are a result of repetitive stress or overuse. Overuse injuries result from repetitive use of the same muscle groups, doing the same activities over and over. As a result, the muscles become weak and tight which causes internal friction and pressure within the tissue. We use various techniques including Graston Technique which is a patented form of instrumented soft-tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions using stainless steel instruments to comb over and "catch" on fibrotic tissue.
