Our tradition started in Italy, where Saverio Esposito began his apprenticeship as a shoemaker at 7 years old. Saverio moved his family to Canada in 1958 and just 10 year later in 1968 he opened WestMount Shoe Re-Nu, offering repair services, orthopedic modifications and custom made insoles. Here he taught his sons the trade, until his retirement in 1989, when Joe and Mario opened Custom Orthopedic Ltd! Realizing that there were not many choices for orthopedic friendly footwear, they added The Walk Shoppe! to offer better shoe choices.
