We are descended primarily from Cree who moved west with the fur trade and integrated with tribes in the eastern Rocky Mountains. Our traditional territory spanned a great distance: from Jasper north to Grande Prairie; from McBride east to Lac Ste. Anne. Although our People are linked to First Nations across Canada, our community has no recognized Constitutional status.
