Across from West Edmonton Mall you’ll find Swiss 2 Go, a hidden gem that will make you want to kick yourself for not finding it sooner. Made-from-scratch using only real ingredients, Swiss 2 Go features a variety of cold platters, pretzels, soups, sandwiches (on a pretzel bun) and freshly baked goods that embrace the flavours of Switzerland.
Despite the name, it’s not essential that you pick up one of their delicious made-to-order pretzel bun sandwiches (gluten-free available), such as the award-winning Italian Bride, and scurry out the door. You can also choose to enjoy this savoury mix of Italian prosciutto, roasted red peppers, sun dried tomatoes, creamy sliced bocconcini and fresh basil generously drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette within the cozy confines of Swiss 2 Go.
This quaint, welcoming deli boasts a small section of tables where you can relish your chosen sandwich and hopefully save room for dessert. The owner, Drita Keller, is a passionate, caring mother of three honoured to introduce you to the real taste of her Swiss homeland. Offering a seasonal menu, Drita’s stinging nettle soup is just what you need to stay satisfied and healthy during those cold winter days.
“We are tucked away, but our customers are incredibly good people and word of mouth matters to me a lot, so that’s how I am building the business. There is a lot of love and support here for sure,” says Drita.
With dine-in, takeout and customized catering services available, Drita's flavours of Switzerland can also be enjoyed in offices, at weddings and during other special occasions around the city.

Run by a hardworking, tough-as-nails lady, Swiss 2 Go is small but sturdy. Their Italian Bride Sandwich was named one of Avenue magazine’s 25 Best Things to Eat by foodie Gail Hall. Their pretzel buns, studded with kosher salt, are legendary. They’ve also developed a gluten-free bun in-house. And, their excessive use of prosciutto excites me.
