It all began in December of 2002 in a sadly neglected garage. After a complete makeover it became our first location featuring locally designed furniture and an ever expanding array of funky home furnishings. Between customers we restored antiques. On Oct 9, 2004, Canadian Thanksgiving, we foreswore the turkey and fixings and in one fell swoop armed only with an enormous truck we migrated down the road to our current headquarters at 145 CowBay road. And what cool new digs! Formerly the workshop of Love Electric, the premises are perched over the ocean on pilings with a view of the forest, mountains, sky and nearby yacht club full of boats. In 2006 Homework added clothing to its retail mix, incorporating another original Prince Rupert business, Ware Haus, under its banner. Our commitment is to sell contemporary and funky home furnishings, furniture, life accessories, toys, books and clothing. We promote local industry, regional designers and Canadian made product. We pride ourselves on having an esthetic that blends the beautiful with the diverting. In summer we cater to the growing cruise market with a number of tasteful souvenir lines. Our aim is for your visit to our store or our website to be entertaining and welcoming.Homework is owned and operated by Lucy Pribas and David Smook. In October of 2007 we opened our second location in the heart of Prince George, B.C. Our new partner in this venture is Anthony Voitik. We hope you enjoy your shopping experience with us.more...See more text
