Fino Lino specializes in exquisite fabrics with a focus on linens for the bedroom. We are a linen and home décor showroom showcasing European bedding and textiles, located in the Kitsilano area in Vancouver, BC for over 30 years.
"My job is to create beauty," Fino Lino owner Lauren Persson says of her luxury linens showroom. Lifestyle vignettes adorn the spacious shop: boudoir sanctuaries, exquisite dining room settings, nooks of plush pillows. This is a place to dream, to be inspired by beauty.
The Kitsilano store first opened in 1990 – relocating to its current location in 2002 – and quickly became known as the place for connoisseurs of fine linens, luxury bedding, unique furnishings and accessories, plus interior design services.
Lauren had previously been part of the corporate world, working as a training director, but wanted a business of her own. “I wanted a creative, harmonious environment, and to help others develop their creativity.” She laughs, “and I wanted a female-driven company!”
Her appreciation for finery harkens back to her parents, “Dad said that the only good suits are made in England, and Mom was a couture hat and clothing designer.” As a child, Lauren rearranged household furniture in early decorating sprees as soon as she was big enough to push it.
Travel later exposed her to beautiful textiles in France and Italy. “Once I saw how fine fabrics were made, I appreciated them even more,” she says. She went on to study design and furniture, and worked under an interior designer; Fino Lino is the culmination of all these experiences.
