The Canadian College of Performing Arts (CCPA) is located in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia and is owned and operated by The Canadian Heritage Arts Society (CHAS) . CHAS is a non-profit society and a registered charitable organization which has established the CCPA in its endeavour to promote higher education and to support young people who wish to establish careers and contribute to Canadian society. The CCPA benefits promising talent, attracting students from across the nation and around the world. Over the past fifteen years CHAS has become renowned across Canada for its summer training and performance program, Spirit of a Nation. Due to its outstanding success in preparing young Canadians for careers in the performing arts, graduates of this program are now starring in London's West End and have been featured in major productions across the nation and around the world including the Stratford Festival, the Charlottetown Festival, Beauty and the Beast, Joseph, Sunset Boulevard, Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, Hairspray, Mama Mia, Lion King and many more. My wife went to this school - it was a lot of hard work for sure - but this is one of those things where you get what you put in. She was there for three years and has been performing with different theatre companies in western Canada ever since. She already was so talented - but I think this school really helped her explore other forms of her art. I know that she still speaks really highly of it and feels like she is better for going to that school.
