Smitty's invites you to their establishment. Their atmosphere has been described as family friendly. You can get there not only by public transit and car but also by bicycle.
My son wanted to go out for a hot chocolate, so while we were in the mall we stopped by Smittys. We both ordered a hot chocolate and shared an order of mozzarella sticks. The bill came to just over $19.00! I felt that that was very pricey for what we got.
Been going for breakfast quite regularly on Sundays. The eggs, bacon and sausage have gone down hill a lot. Eggs over easy now means they are cooked solid, much like a hard boiled egg. The breakfast sausage must have been changed up. They taste horrible.the bacon seems like they deep fry it by the bucket, lots of slimy soggy bacon and some burnt to a crisp. We used to enjoy it. I guess nothing lasts forever.
Twice we have gone to the Winkler Smitty's and had to wait an hour for our food. We had no explanation and actually had to call our waitress over to ask how much longer it was going to be. Then when we went to pay for our food I had the joy of standing there and listening to the two people working the tills say how they hated it when customers complained that it was taking to long. We didn't understand. Very unprofessional, we will not be going back and we will be sure to share our experience
Wonderful service. My favorite thing about smitty's is that it is unique in winkler for a couple of reasons. One being that it is one of the only franchised sit down restaurants and second of all the servers bring out refills before ur drinks are empty. That is my favorite thing about that place. As well the food is good and service is friendly. Overall a great place for a meal
