I have no idea how anyone can possibly complain about the food here - hands down, it is the best-tasting, best value for your money in this entire town! Have never ordered a single thing that I didn't enjoy - whether off the menu, or a daily special - and the wings are the best around! Drink prices are also fabulous....there are places in town that are alleged competitors of the Lockeroom, and you can barely get a pint, for what you would buy a mini-pitcher for, at the L-Room. Staff is always friendly, and seems to have a knack for remembering everyone's name, no matter how 'new' you are, or how busy they are.
Definitely going to continue enjoying my visits!
First off I live across the street from this place so I've come here many times out of convenience. Honestly the food is pretty terrific and the atmosphere although at times looks like a sporting goods store exploded inside the place it has a genuine "come in and have a beer with the mates" sort of feel to it. Free peanuts are on hand if you're feeling cheap and by 12:30am you'll be knee deep in empty shells as the patrons feel they have the right to sweep them on the floor, rather than dispose of them properly as if they WEREN'T born on a farm. They have cheap wing nights on Tuesdays and other deals going on for drink on other days but there is an overload of rude obnoxious contractors, labourers and blue coller workers that think it's ok to be pushing 50 and make overly suggestive sexual comments to the 18-25 year old servers. Which is probably the reason so many of them have ice cold water running through their veins when you try to be even remotely charming. It's a "we got everything" sort of bar but don't expect to meet the love of your life at this watering hole and if you do pick up some tail, be sure to take full advantage of the condom machine in the mens bathroom... as a matter of fact, buy 2 just in case.
I am not the kind of person to complain about food. I love food and i am not picky at all. I ordered a poutine and wings. The poutine was so gross. The gravy tasted like brown salty water (im sorry but if u cant make gravy right, use the packet from swiss chalet, it would have been 100 times better), the cheese was GRATED cheese, i dont mind grated cheese but it was like a table spoon of it on my poutine. The waitress came over and i asked her for some more cheese ( to mask the nasty gravy taste) she came back with it drenched in nasty gravy and a teasespoon of cheese on top like they ran out of cheese! The gravy was so COLD that the itty bitty cheese didn't even melt! i was appalled and so was my friend. I never got a refilled. My friend took her wings out of the basket to bring home and the waitress never asked if she wanted a take out box... she took the basket and walked away went back to her corner and was chatting and laughing with another waitress while we sit and wait for her to come back so we can ask for our bill. They will look over and kept ignoring us. Finally she came over, she did took the poutine off the bill cuz i wouldnt have paid for it. oh and the wings were also terrible, it was really dry for honey garlic. I left bitter because i wasted money. Lets just say I wouldnt even go back there for free food!!!
We attend for lunch every Wed and always receive the same great reception. Wings are done as requested and the beer is always cold. What more could you ask for?
Well it's been a while since I last put in my earlier review. Nothing has changed and I still enjoy going there for "My Time" beer and wings. I am even getting my wife to come once in a while. She likes the natchos.
