The business was named Uptown Billiards and it all began in our current location at 322 Front Street in Belleville, Ontario. In the early days, our services included shoe shine and a cigar shop.In 1950, at the age of 15, Peter Zamanis began working at Uptown Billiards eventually taking over as owner in 1968 from his uncle. At that time, the population of Belleville 18,000 and they had a total of 18 police officers.In 1972, Peter changed the name to Mr. Zed's. Services have changed over the years but we still offer the best the best billiards in town and we are licensed under the L.L.B.O.
