Food is Generally Good

I go to this place every couple of weeks. The decor is uninspired. The service is inconsistent, bordering on incompetent. Orders are often re-confirmed because the confused manager misreads the item numbers. The food is quite good. I always have success with the pho. The steamed mussels are also good. The congee is bland. The Hue style noodle soup is very tasty. Even the pad thai is good. Don't bother ordering the shakes or bubble teas. You will get them long after your food arrives.

Awful, not authentic and bland.

This is a sub par restaurant. I wouldn't waste my money again here. There are plenty of other excellent Thai/Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Don't go here because of proximity. Service is terrible, the food is sub par, the place is not the cleanest and you may get some sort of stomach ailment. The manager is also disgruntled and will be very rude should you ask for any changes or have any concerns with your meal. The food is bland and is a very poor representation of what Thai food is. But hey, if you like bland, greasy uninspiring food at high prices, by all means. I also recommend the grease trap for desert then.

This has to be on of my favourite restaurants in the area. I have been about 10 times now and have never been dissappointed. Even my lack of chopstick skills has never prevented me from enjoying the flavourful food. I have tried a few things on the menu and have not had a bad dish yet. This is also a great place for students to go, great food at very reasonable prices. Don't take my word for it, just check it out yourself!

Absolutely spot on!!!!!

Our server was attentive yet not pushy. The appetizer came out almost immediately with the main courses following in perfect hamony. We were allowed time to eat and time to chat and did not feel pushed out the door. The premises were spotless and the food was fresh and perfectly seasoned. I have recommended this establishment to almost everyone I know and will definitely return

With a name like Pho Shizzle, we had to check...

With a name like Pho Shizzle, we had to check this place out. It's tucked away in a little strip mall in Cambridge. We started with the fresh rolls with grilled pork. The meat was wonderfully marinated with a sweet and lemongrassy marinade and was nicely coupled with a peanut sauce. Next, we tried some of the chilli salt callimari and shrimp. Wow. I'm not sure what's in it but this stuff was addictive. My wife and I had no problems polishing this off with our friends. For mains, I tried the vermicelli with pork balls, grilled beef and spring roll. The server told me that the pork balls are one of their specialities and I can see why. The meat was sweet and succulent, and the flavours unlike anything I have ever tried before, even at other Vietnamese restaurants. My wife had the Pho, which is supposedly their other specialty. Now, my wife and I fancy ourselves food afficiandos, and we have tried many, many Pho places (even across Vietnam). Pho Shizzle's broth is without a doubt one of the best we have ever tasted - fragrant and balanced. The portions were huge, and we had to muster all our might even to put away a small bowl. Our friends tried the Pad Thai and green curry chicken, and based on their reaction, I think they were pretty happy with their choices. All in all, one of the best (if not the best) Vietnamese restaurants I have ever dined at. Pho Shizzle is pho real!

Nice to have tea offered and brought over right...

Nice to have tea offered and brought over right after sitting. Spring rolls awesome (the best ever, according to my wife). Fairly good size of portions. The freshness of vegetables is absolutely remarkably. Mix salad of bean sprouts, sliced carrot -very thin- and some sort of cucumberlike asian vegetable -no seeds- in very thin slices, this last one very nice tasting. Paid $38 total -excluding tip- Service very friendly. Recently opened, place a little plain -decorationwise- Overall, it was a refreshing experience. Definitely we will go back.
