For many people living in Toronto, getting hold of their favourite British products can be difficult. Whether you visited on a trip, have family in Britain, or moved from there, finding those familiar comforts you were used to can be a nice treat. It’s something that Andrew Cardozo, the owner of London Calling, understands. “This store is for Anglophiles and anyone who’s been to England,” he says. “People feel a certain communion with the U.K., and this is a place they can connect with that feeling.”
Unlike most British import stores, London Calling focuses on more than just food. “The store’s theme is British, from food to home decor and fashion accessories,” says Andrew. “Other stores are mainly food products, but we also do home decor and souvenirs. A lot of our products are brought in directly from the U.K. and you can’t find them anywhere else.”
