Food was good and so was the service. But, the website shows Jack Astor's Wellington Road, London, ON location being open at 11 AM Sundays and yet, it did not open until 12. I did not appreciate having to wait when I thought I could go in at 11:30.

We went to Jack's for burgers and fries. My wife ,daughter and I ordered burgers on three separate occasions. The first time they we're great .Second time they came burn't and dried out .Last time it took them an hour to bring them.I'm sorry but if you can't do burgers and fries I would'nt think anything would come easy to you.Good luck diners.
We like to go to Jack Astors often. The only comment I have for them is to bring back the Manchurian Vegetable Pasta and get rid of the whole wheat spaghetti - it sucks!!!! They change their menu, which is great, except they seem to remove the best items and add ones that are terrible. We still go back despite the whole wheat pasta because they have been willing to make it the old way for me. Other than the menu, great place to eat, great food, pretty good service.
We went for my brother's birthday and it was really good. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal and although nobody had any leftovers to take home, everyone seemed full. We always get their roasted garlic bruschetta as an appetizer and as always, it was great. Very traditional style so if you think bruschetta is just tomatoes on garlic bread you might not like it. For my entree, I had their (new) grilled salmon provencal, which was surprisingly good. The tomato garlic sauce on the salmon was amazing and really made the fish moist. The pasta was delicious, although I felt that the tomato sauce for it was a little light and would have liked a bit more. Our server was pretty good, although he took a long time to bring me a refill on my water and so I had to gulp it down just as we were leaving. Overall, Jack Astor's is a generally reliable chain and this location in particular seems to do a very good job in picking good chefs and servers. Definitely a good place to go if you're not looking for anything too different.
Try to please too large of a crowd. The food is terrible and overpriced! This restaurant should be avoided by all customers
Just got into town and didn't have a reservation. Sat in the bar to wait for a table. We weren't happy about it but - took care of us - so well we decided to skip the table and eat where we were. Just goes to show what a difference good staff make.
Wings were way too greasy and the cheese on the toasted bread was freezing cold - not a good combo. On the plus side the service was good.
frequent this place very often, great food, great service..
Everything about the restaurant was great. Our waiter was very friendly and just overall wonderful. I felt very comfortable there and would love to go again. :)
Burgers were not cooked, they were rare, ended up eating the outside edge, but the Fries were good and the beer was cold.
The service was friendly and efficient. We had two children under the age of four and they were fully entertained. Our meals were very flavourful and our portions perfect. I thought the atmosphere was fantastic and was impressed with the professional attitude in the work place.
This was our first time at Jack Astors and will definately not be the last. our server, Matt, went out of his way to be quick efficient and polite. The food was fantastic and when we asked for our dessert without the pralines in the sauce we were assured that was not a problem. overall a fantastic meal and excellent evening
Very big restaurant. Huge servings of food. Great service. Shawn was our waiter. Food was awesome. Will most definately eat here again when visiting London.
The food was good. The steak was amzing. They cooked it perectly, and it was very delicious. The pan bread was also good. The baked potato I had problems with. The skin was like leather, but I guess they didn't expect me to eat it. The Beer was nice and cold, and the waitress was great (and kind of cute) Nice place, I'll definatly go again...
Its such a shame because for a place with such good food, they seem to never cook my order right or I find some sort of hair or lettuce wrapping in my salad, and once a dirty glass with a lemon seed stuck to the side. When I ask for my order to be corrected its usually not a problem... However this depends who's serving you. If I ask for my steak well done it means no blood. Cook throughly... Not cut and it bleeds...A simple request not being able to be met time and time again has mad me not ever wanting to return.
