The Fabric Shoppe Opened Its' Doors On April 1, 1985. Owner And Operator Cathy Mower Is A Business Graduate Of Wilfred Laurier University, And Is Originally From The Meaford Area Where She Returned After Graduation. Looking For A Creative Outlet As Well As A Good Business Prospect, Cathy Found Her Niche. The Previous Quilt Shop In Meaford Had Closed Its' Doors And Cathy Opened Her Store The Following Spring. Being That There Is A Very Strong Quilting Community In The Area, Cathy Continued Her Store In The Tradition Of Her Predecessor. With A Strong Background In Sewing And With Her Mother Being An Expert In Both Hand And Machine Quilting, Cathy Learned The Craft And Never Looked Back.
