The Museum was founded as the Haliburton Highlands Pioneer Museum in 1967, as a Canadian Centennial project to commemorate the early pioneers of the area. The Rotary Club and a committee of interested citizens were behind it, including Ron Curry of Curry Motors fame & founder of the Rotary Club of Haliburton. “We are fortunate to be in an incredible business because it’s a happy business,” says Rebecca Lander who runs You Name It Baby! with Amy Hiltz. “There’s always a new baby to celebrate.”

Rebecca and Amy have created the perfect way to celebrate a newborn baby; a service that offers quality bespoke keepsake gifts that are both fun to give and a delight to receive. “Our baby blankets are one of the most popular presents,” says Rebecca. “Personalized with the baby’s name and birthing details sewn onto the fabric. It’s the kind of item parents want to hold onto forever.”

Available both in-store and online, the quality of the vast range of products from You Name it Baby! is high, with many goods made in Canada and imported items passing stringent standards tests. “We often collaborate with artisan moms who work from home,” says Rebecca. “When we first started in 2005 we sought them out at craft fairs but now they seek us out.”
