I would have left a 1/2 or if there were an option for No star - this would have been the rating this restaurant would have received. I ordered a soup and discovered there was a piece of blue wire in the soup after I had swallowed a piece of it. I was given an apology and the only resolution was a replacement soup . This does not compensate the pain that it was causing me or to later end up in a hospital. I do not recommend this restaurant yet if you do go MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR FOOD!
This place has the best Pho:Price:Service:Decor in all of Mississauga. I visit this place at least 5 times a month. It's affordable with good service and good food.
Very affordable and delicious pho! This is in my opinion, one of the best places to go in Mississauga for pho. The restaurant is clean, and the service is prompt and good.
The first place I recommend when friends want some good Vietnamese cuisine! Why? The pho noodles consistently taste great. They're flavourful, not "oily" like at some restaurants, come in filling portions. Best of all, they're very economical! Though slightly pricier than other pho restaurants, $5 to $10 certainly fills you up. (I usually stick to pho, though, since they're rice dishes can't compare) As a bonus, the clean environment with new tables/chairs and bright lighting definitely sets it apart from similarly-priced Vietnamese and Asian restaurants.
The best beef and noodle soup ever, my number one choice for pho restaurant which has great and quick service with affordable prices. I recommend this location.
Still one of my favorite Vietnamese Restaurant. I wrote a review in 2007 on this website. My opinion has not changed much. We come here regularly. The food is flavorful and affordable. Excellent for casual family dinner or a quick lunch. Although the last time we went, we noticed the portion in the Signature Beef Bowl decreased quite a bit. I hope this was an anomaly. I can understand a restaurant for increasing prices. But I cannot forgive one that lowers the quality. As customers we have good memories. I shall have to visit again to make sure. But I would hate to have to scout out another favorite Vietnamese restaurant. Meanwhile, do visit this restaurant. It is one of the best in Mississauga.
I've lived in Mississauga for years and this is one of the places I find myself returning if I ever wanted some good, quick Pho! Service always surprises me when it comes to their speed because they are so efficient. Rice with chicken and pork chops is always a safe choice for people who do not want to be adventurous and Spring rolls are always a great appetizer. The milkshakes at this place is always something that I enjoy, especially on a nice summer day. My favourite is a jackfruit shake and it always comes out nicely. Never have I been disappointed with it. The only thing I would change though...is how rushed you will feel...when you come on a busy night. I remember one time...I had gotten the bill before I finished my meal. I personally felt a little insulted that they wanted me out so quickly but I guess on a busy night, you do what you must to seat all your guests.
This place is awesome, the food and people are great. The same owner opened another location at the meadovale town centre that has an even better atmosphere. Pho mi is great and would recommend it to anyone. Try #429 and #12 mmmmmmmm...i think i heading there today :)
99 has been the only pho/viet/thai place I visit in Mississauga. It's conveniently located off Hwy 403 Its phot is tasty, I like the rice combo more than the noddle, but they are both good. Service is quick, layout is very Asian/frugal but lighting is bright. Usually very crowded though
Been here a few times, the food at this restaurant is very consistent...especially with their pho. The quality of their pho is very tasty, much like how my mom makes it at home (only my mom makes the best and no one compares). The jackfruit shake is always how I remember it, sweet and milky and is very satisfying. Although jackfruit is hard to come by, most of the time it their jackfruit is canned...but the drink is still very good! I always order Vermacelli when I come here because it is very filling and your bang for your buck. Overall, my boyfriend and I come here whenever we crave Vietnamese food so coming back here does say a lot. The only thing about this place is...when you do come at a busy time such as weekends, you might feel a little bit rushed to get you in and out and if you are like me....you'd like to take your time when eating.
Pho Mi 99 has a decent atmosphere w/ spartan asian-generic decor, peach yellow paint accented with avocado-green trim and salmon-marbled panels, lighted by wall-mounted sconces. I was greeted with a pot of oolong tea by a waiter of few (English) words. He gave me no indication of impatience as I perused the comprehensive menu. I admit to glossing past the selections because I was here for one thing: pho beef noodle soup. Peering over my menu, I noticed a lot of asians with a sprinkling of non-asians. This was promising since I keep a general rule of thumb: asians would know best if the asian restaurant was any good. Being a Wednesday evening, there were only only about 20 patrons consistently throughout my meal. The room was large enough to fit twice as many so the sound level was not intimidating. They played a contemporary radio station in the background but not too loud to interfere with conversation. The no one was leaning over to try to hear their companions talk. I ordered a large pho with rice vermicelli noodles and beef brisket with the meat well done (#212) with an avocado shake. The food arrived in about 5 minutes with a small plate of the required pho complement of bean sprouts, lime and a few sprigs of basil. No jalapeno peppers, though, which is fine because I don't eat them. Once the broth arrived, the aroma instantly clued me into the quality of the soup. The broth is very good with a taste deeply anchored in beef complemented with anis and clove. The broth was a fully developed so I could tell the cooks didn't do a rush job on the soup. The firmness of the noodles were just fine. (I can't imagine how one would screw up the noodles, but it's been done.) The bean sprouts and basil found itself in the broth to provide more texture to the dish. The avocado shake tasted like avocado but it had a slight powdery aftertaste that receded after a time. I'll bet good money that they use a non-dairy mix of some sort as the base. Still, it did taste like real avocado which is tough to fake. Midway through the meal, I decided to use the lime to find that it re-energized the broth's deep , round, salt-beef flavor with a tangy edge. Eventually I pushed the bowl away to focus on my avocado shake. More than once did I lean past my shake to sample the exquisite broth once more. The restrooms were tidy and well ventilated. Total bill for the meal was $13.78. The waiter gently mentioned that there was a $15 min for credit card, so I obliged myself to a mango shake to go. Darn. $16.10. Excellent meal, service was fine, environment was good. Worth visiting again next time I'm in town.
Pho Mi 99 is a very quaint little restaurant with a comfortable atmosphere that does not suffocate the guests with over lavished decorations. The majority of this restaurant is of Asian heritage, as is the staff, which is an explanation for their lack of communication. Other than that, the food is very suitable, there are many choices, and the staff are friendly to a great extent. This restaurant is greatly recommended for a cheap, pick up and go dinner.
This restaurant is great.. i went there for lunch after reading these reviews. my sister and brother highly recomend it as well.. It was great.. I am going back for dinner... mmmmmmm! cant wait. Thanks for the recomendation binh.
I go every day for lunch. No problems. No issues. Love it. It's fast. It's cheap. It's good! Not to hate, but why throw away good sauce just because the bottle is almost empty? Do you throw away the ketchup when it's almost empty?
Excellent!!! Can't get enough! I could eat this every day and be perfectly happy. The food is nice and light and is a great change from the typical pizza or burger. Take out service is very good also!
nice decor, good serviee but while i was sittin i couldnt help but notced while they cleaned the tables the reuse the sauses(mix the old ones with the new ones) kindda gross, but other than that taste good.
The people here are nice and the service is fast. Our dishes came out within minutes were very happily surprised. The pho here is always good and consistent. The vermicilli is always a favourite of mine and I like the quantity of it. I personally always go here for pho, price is always fair too.
We have been to many of the pho mi 99 in mississauga over the years. Service is usually fast but not all the waiters speak english. #112 and # 113 are favourite soups of ours. #512 the chicken curry is another awesome dish. A definite 'must try' if you're in Mississauga.
It was a very good restuarant in general. Attention to detail will deepen an understanding of tasty material and improve restuarant quality. I will definitely call my friends and tell them about this wonderful expieience.
Really good service and the food is just great. Excellent place to eat. Definetly eating there again and telling my friends to eat there aswell.
