Went to enjoy NBA Allstar saturday night, food and drinks were great! Very freindly service, talked with waitresses for hours. Highly recommend stopping by if you are in Ottawa.
When you’re in need of some soul food, come to Rosie’s for traditional southern dishes with a modern twist. Meals are served in a charming, dimly lit rustic interior or on a sunny patio in the summer. You can’t go wrong with classic chicken and waffles served with honey and fruit syrup as well as peaches and cream. If you’re feeling adventurous, try the more extravagant Imperial eggs benedict with blue crab, smoked salmon, white fish caviar and chives.
One of Ottawa’s liveliest nighttime patios, Rosie’s is a lovely spot in daytime, too. A solid wood overhang shields about half the tables from the elements; so, too, the walls on two sides. Protected from a busy street by shrubs and tall planters of colourful posies, the patio has a heater for chilly days. Fare is prepared by a former Rideau Hall chef. Standouts — besides a whack of fresh oysters (18 to a platter) — include beautifully seared scallops, baby back ribs, a generous paella and blackened catfish.
