What a disappointment!
I went to effetto donna many times and received an excellent Brazilian wax each time. although her friendliness seemed a little forced, the aesthetician was fast and skilled. HOWEVER, my last experience really showed me what an unprofessional turn the business has taken. there was a new girl working there and she asked me if i wanted to pay ahead of time, and i did- including the tip. when it came time for her to do the wax, she did EVERYTHING wrong. she went over the same areas upwards of 6 times, poured wax on my legs, got wax clumped, dried and stuck in the hair, and was so slow and painful that i actually sat up instinctually with tears in my eyes like i was punched in the stomach. it took 15 minutes when it usually takes 5. THEN, when i went out of there and the main aesthetician asked me how it was and i told her it was the worst i ever had, she said "well let me take a look and i can fix anything she did wrong." so she looked and told me that there was a lot of patches she missed (surprise surprise) and the proceeded to CALL THE GIRL INTO THE ROOM, where she had me reiterate every complaint i had made to the girl in person. as if that weren't humiliating enough, they then proceeded to have a lesson on waxing using me as the subject. let me remind you that a Brazilian wax leaves you in a compromised position. to put the cherry on top, i was not offered my money back- not even a free wax or a discount off my next one. or the tip money back. it made me sick with anger!!!
