Amid the chaotic crowds and bustling businesses that line the edges of downtown Toronto’s financial district lies a secret oasis of self-care where overstressed suits, burnt-out travellers and manic movie-makers have been working out and de-compressing for over a decade.
Imprint Pilates is far more than a Pilates studio, with two separate studio spaces for group and private sessions as well as a roster of health care professionals, including an acupuncturist, nutritionist, massage therapist and physiotherapist. The studio prides itself on its longstanding client relations, providing personalized fitness and/or rehabilitation programs for each one.
“New clients often come for one class and then stay with us for years because they like the personalized care they get,” explains owner Anita Ivic. “We have a detailed, up-to-date file for each client so they can get optimal care and the greatest benefit from their regimen. It's a fun, relaxed studio, but we are serious about helping guide everyone towards their personal best so that they can live with more freedom and less pain.”

When your lead instructor has used Pilates to maintain a dance career after a devastating car accident then you know you’re benefiting from first-hand experience. Over the years, Anita’s combined the best of what she’s learned and used it to open Imprint in 2008. Sessions are one-on-one so you get maximum attention and feedback.
