In September 2014, Segway of Ontario celebrated its 10-year anniversary after 25,000 guided tours—an enviable milestone in Toronto’s competitive tourism industry. However, the company’s quirky approach to infotainment wasn’t always part of the business agenda.

Segway of Ontario rolled onto the scene in 2004 to sell one of the latest space-age technology crazes: Segways. The two-wheel self-balancing scooter operates by detecting the rider’s body weight and moving in whichever direction your body shifts. The name Segway is derived from the word “segue” meaning smooth transition, although first-time riders may beg to differ.

Segways weren’t exactly flying off the shelves, so the company had the foresight to quickly expand into a new market: the tourism industry in Toronto’s historic Distillery District. “We’ve changed from being a sales company to being an experiential company where we can provide people with memories,” says manager Jason Rizzuti. Because of the Segway’s accessibility, it’s not uncommon to spot people from three generations riding alongside each other.

    My son electric scooter wasn’t able to be fix couple years..I was going to put in the garage but the Segway Ontario fix my scooter and he’s very happy and me too.the price was perfect and the time frame too.the best place to repair your scooter.young and talented ????
