Nose-raised, if you follow the scent of garden flowers through the heavy corridors of the Queen and Dufferin arts building and into the lush studio of Sweet Woodruff, it is sweet-smelling, indeed. The boutique floral and event design firm was founded by Lisa Gray in 2010, and with new aid from business partner Audra Csak and floral designer Jenny Lunney, Sweet Woodruff has been bringing its simple and elegant aesthetic to events across the GTA.
Ambitiously offering bouquet arrangement services for events (ranging from intimate dinner parties to large-scale weddings), wedding and event design and rentals, an online housewares shop, and an exclusive partnership with Club Monaco’s flower market, Sweet Woodruff is clearly no budding bloom.
“We like purposeful design," says Lisa. "Whether it's a wedding, a venue, a season, a time of day, the weather, what flowers we can get locally – all of those things will impact what we design."
