I would like to thank the staff at PEI Hearing Consultants for restoring my sister in law’s (Hilda Rossiter) hearing. Hilda was a Nurse in a Pediatric Unit for her entire professional career. In the 1970s, she caught TB from a child. A side effect from the medication she took for the TB caused her hearing loss, which became more and more severe as time progressed. For over 40 years, she has been wearing hearing aids but never had much satisfaction or success with them. She eventually began to avoid going places or events where there would be crowds of people because she couldn't hear what was being said.
After working with hearing technician Steve Wong at PEI Hearing Consultants, Hilda now has hearing aids that have re-opened the world for her. She can now have conversations with people, hear on the telephone, hear in church and listen to TV programs. She has stated that she feels like is literally back in the word again.
We would like to thank Steve Wong and the staff at PEI Hearing Consultants. Steve was incredibly professional, accommodating, kind and patient. During the initial phase of getting Hilda’s hearing aids specifically adjusted for her, she had weekly check-ups where adjustments were made. Steve also made phone calls during this time to check in with us to ask if we had any questions or concerns. The attention to detail and time spent developing hearing aids for Hilda was considerable. We are all very grateful for work undertaken by Steve Wong and highly recommend the PEI Hearing Consultants for Islands needing help with hearing loss.
