1000 Grammes Bistro Glouton on Saint-Catherine Street in Montreal is known as the place for desserts. They have a good selection of cakes and pies, including many cheese cakes and the portions are large
If you're east of downtown looking for a pleasant spot for brunch, lunch, dinner, coffee, dessert or even a drink, 1000 Grammes has it all.
Ten years after the launch of the dessert and pastry company Kilo, the founders were ready to expand. To showcase their extensive line-up of gourmet cakes and desserts, they opened Kilo Café not far from Papineau station in Montreal's village. "They wanted to create a place where everyone was welcome," says Marylin Benarrous, the café's current owner.
Today the café is, without question, a neighbourhood landmark. Even though it's since been baptized 1000 Grammes, it continues to attract patrons young and old from every walk of life, who come for the café's colourful atmosphere and artistic menu.
L'endroit de rêve pour les desserts. Et si jamais on na pas eu assez de notre gargantuesque portion de gâteau, on peut toujours acheter des sucreries à la caisse avant de repartir. Relaxe comme endroit.
You add avocadoes to everything! This place is perfect for a casual lunch or dinner after work. Heart of the Village, a nice walk along Ste-Catherine. Delicious unique sandwiches, homemade guacamole and salsa and a nice choice of alcohol. I could eat here everyday.
