With its three galleries spread out over three stories, Art Mûr is among the most renowned private contemporary art institutions in Canada. “I believe we play an important role in that regard, because of the breadth of our projects, as well as our physical space,” says co-owner Rhéal Olivier Lanthier. “We’re a private gallery, but we have enough space to display artwork in a fashion that recalls a small museum.” In 2002, Art Mûr moved from its former home on Notre-Dame to an old furniture store on St-Hubert, which grew its exhibition place to over 14,000 square feet.
