When one walks by Vertuose’s physical store, it’s easy to confuse it with a florist. While Vertuose does offer quite a large selection of flowers, plants and everything that comes with them, they’re but a glimpse of what it can do for its clients. Vertuose specializes in plant-based design and landscaping, and also offers counsel on everything botanic, and even rents arrangements or materials.
Benoit Godin opened the store in 2004 with a goal of growing the business into a reference for landscaping and vegetal design. In a nutshell, the company’s mission is to create a common ground for design, floral art and horticulture to mesh into a single discipline. "You won’t find something like it anywhere else. Our business is one-of-a-kind, because it treats flowers and plants in a thought-out, creative and unique fashion. Basically, we offer our clients living decorations!"
In its early days, Vertuose focused essentially on plants. Later, flowers came into the mix and evolved a great deal within the company’s offering. Today, they’re a big part of the business.
This small oasis located in the Mile End keeps a low profile, but it's worth the visit! This lovely plant and flower shop has been here since 2004. They carry a wide selection of potted plants in modern pots and offer residential and commercial services as well as a consulting service.
