Mikado holds the title of Alberta’s first Japanese restaurant! It opened in 1972, on 116th Street, in a location that has since been repurposed as a tattoo parlor. Started in 1971 by Edmontonian Darwin Luxford, Wee Book Inn is a prominent name in our city.
