Le Chien Fumant has a charcuterie platter that is to die for, and their meats are all cured in-house. Located in the Plateau, they have a chalkboard menu that changes frequently. You can find interesting dishes like tripe for adventurous foodies or some of their classics like their Chinatown calamari, tossed in a sweet and sour Asian sauce. Le Chien Fumant’s kitchen is open until 2 am from Tuesday to Sunday.

Imadake is a Japanese izakaya located in downtown Montreal. Our favourite dishes include their deep-fried chicken skin, their fried goat cheese, and their takoyaki (octopus balls). We’re also staunch supporters of Imadake’s sake bombs! Their bar is open until 3 am but their kitchen is open until 1 am on Friday and Saturday, although some dishes like their ramen are only available until around 11:30 pm.

L’Express is a Montreal institution and classic Parisian bistro. Their steak tartare is to die for, their croque monsieur is perfect and they have a dessert menu that will have you swooning. Big in Japan is truly committed to late-night eats! Their kitchen is open until 3 am every day of the week. It’s the perfect spot if you’re feeling peckish and you’re roaming about the Plateau at odd hours of the night. We adore their steamed BBQ pork buns and we would kill for their okonomiyaki, a pork pancake topped with a shrimp salad. Another house specialty is their tuna tataki, which is served with a refreshing tomato, feta and caper salad.

We always had a lot love for L’Orignal in Old Montreal but when they introduced their late-night menu, we rejoiced. The kitchen is open until 2:30 am on Friday and Saturday with an ever changing late-night menu after midnight. Some of their classics include a gourmet poutine and grilled cheese. We hope that you get to try L’Orignal’s maple sriracha chicken wings, and of course, you can have cocktails all night long!

They don’t take reservations but if you go fairly late you’re sure to get a table!

Schwartz’s is a Montreal institution, and smoked meat is gourmet to Montrealers. Located on Saint-Laurent Boul, this deli specializes in smoked meat and serves up some of the city’s best.
