The Montréal en lumière festival invites you to the Esplanade de la Place des Arts and rue Sainte-Catherine to discover the Place de la famille Le lait from February 18 to March 5, 2016. At this free outdoor site, several surprises await you: Le Lait mini-slide, the gigantic 110-metre urban slide (a crazy descent with sound effects and multicoloured lights), giant parlour games, and, on Sainte-Catherine, a grilled cheese bar using regional cheeses. The Botanical Garden is presenting the Butterflies Go Free event, where hundreds of butterflies flutter above the visitors, accompanied by music. It’s all set in a tropical greenhouse environment to meet the needs of these beautiful insects, and to create a unique experience. The Montreal Science Centre is presenting the exhibition Dinosaurs Unearthed 2 until March 20, 2016. Your little explorers will be fascinated by 14 full-sized animatronic dinosaurs and spectacular prehistoric scenes through the story of two major excavation sites, two skeletons and 20 fossils. To their delight, they can even control one of the roaring, animatronic dinosaurs. Bring them on an exciting adventure!
Disney celebrates 100 years of magic with its show, Disney on Ice: 100 Years of Magic, from March 2 to 6, 2016. To the sound of classic songs, your children will have a blast watching this awesome ice show featuring 14 timeless stories and 50 unforgettable characters, including Anna, Elsa and Olaf from Frozen.
