I have been to both Sunridge and Market mall shops and they are both excellent! The staff are pleasant, polite and very knowlegeable. They have a great choice of frame choices and also do quick orders without any troubles. Thanks for the gift of good vision Optiko! Read more
My prescription was complicated, involving prisms (fresnel lenses) and my opthortists handwritten notes were difficult to understand. Jackie and Chantelle of Pearl Vision Sunridge wanted to ensure they were following his notes precisely. They got me an immediate walk-in appointment with the optometrist next door! I love the way the Sunridge eye clinic and Pearl Vision work so closely together. I picked up my prism readers today and they are perfect! Chantelle and Jackie even remembered me! Read more
Loved this clinic! I’ve been wearing glasses for about 4 yrs now and I haven’t gotten an eye exam in a couple of years and well it was about time I seen an eye doctor. A friend of mine told me to come to this clinic, so I did & I defiantly will be going back for my next eye exam! The ladies at the front desk were absolutely amazing. They answered all of my questions and ended up talking me into trying out contact lenses … BEST CHOICE I EVER MADE!! They have so many different contacts to choose Read more

Optometrists in T3T3Y4

Is your eyesight getting blurry? Need to get a new prescription for your glasses? Looking into getting rid of those eyeglasses all together with laser corrective eye surgery but you’re not sure who to consult? Eyesight is something most of us take for granted until we need to get it checked out. From simple eye examinations to cataract surgery, do you know if you should be dealing with an optician or an optometrist?

Tips to find optometrists in T3T3Y4

  • What kind of eye specialist do you need? : Your search for the right eye specialist begins by understanding optometrist services. Optometrists measure your eye vision and can refer you to an ophthalmologist if any eye surgery is required. An ophthalmologist is a medical professional that specialises in eye diseases.
  • Referrals: Friends and family members who’ve worn eyeglasses or contacts for a long time are you best referrals for optometrists or opticians. They most likely deal with their favourite optometrist once or twice a year or replace their frames on a regularly basis with a particular optician.
  • Credentials: An optician should be accredited by a provincial technical college whereas an optometrist and an ophthalmologist should be recognised by your province’s medical board. A good optometrist or ophthalmologist will have residency experience.
  • Experience trumps all: An optometrist who has been in business for a long time is someone who has avoided mal practice lawsuits. Find optometrists in T3T3Y4 who have been in the business for a while that are part of a medical research team. Optometrists that do medical research are specialists who stay current with the latest in eye care treatment and diagnosis.
