I used to go to Tabascobar alot for drinks with friends or to watch the occasional hockey game. Last week I decided to go to eat..because I seemed to remember they had good food and I was in the area. The food was better than I recalled and quite suprinsgly delicious compared to the standard usually available in bars. The prices are also quite reasonable. Live jazz, great wine, wonderful meal... Need I say more? We got a table upstairs, next to the band. Usually, you'd want to keep a distance, but this was wonderful. The singer was great. The wine selection was varied. The meal was very well done. The lamb was as good as they promised (which is not always the case at all restaurants) Our server was lovely and very accommodating. They did charge us an extra $8 for splitting the lamb-chops between the kids. If I am paying $220 for my meal, I don't expect that. Still, it did not affect the beautiful evening we had. Read more
