My wife and I used to love strolling the city and ending up at the Irish Heather for a pint (or three) and some fantastic authentic pub fare. This was in their original location. Then, we had a family and it took us a while to get back but we finally got back to check out their new digs and new menu. While the beer selection is still fantastic we were disappointed in the overall vibe. The food was still good but the value took a bit of a hit from their original location. We ate at Rosie's on Robson while on vacation in Vancouver. We stayed at the Westin a few blocks up the street the location seemed convenient. Rosie's markets itself as a British pub style eatery with a good selection of draught beer. When we got seated at our table, the temperature was very warm. The staff claimed the air conditioning at the maximum level but we found that hard to believe. The decor also appeared to be quite outdated. When our food arrived, the veggie burger was found to be slightly under-cooked. The spring rolls were very good but the portion size was small (2 rolls cut into halves). My bruschetta was very good and the portion was decently sized. Although the restaurant was not terrible, I would not recommend it due to the quality of the food and the atmosphere. Read more

The provided a tiny bucket of the best tasting, deep fried potatoe chips I have ever had, so addictive. My calamari was ok but my bouillabaisse was amazing in taste and portion. My eating companions all enjoyed the two types of chowder and their entrees. Lots of street parking available.
