We are more than a neighbourhood grocery store. We work everyday to contribute to a safe and healthy community by providing local and sustainable food.Operating in the landmark Tin Tin building, Urban Grocer is a fresh take on neighbourhood grocery. The Tin Tin building has been home to small local grocers for more than 50 years and Urban Grocer will carry on that tradition by offering fun, fresh, specialty and staple items. Additions to the grocer include scooped ice cream, gluten-free choices, organic products, fresh coffee, locally-sourced goods, specialty drinks and snacks, and a friendly, enthusiastic team of staff members. The Urban Grocer is located in the London Road neighbourhood on 9th Ave and 11th Street South.more...See more text
This little local shop has come a long way since being under new ownership. I now frequent this place a few times per week for locally sourced goods and groceries. Lots of specialty items available too (grass/fed meats and gluten-free baking). Also a great spot to pop in for a morning coffee or light lunch!
It is overpriced. The choice for quality local food is limited. There are better small stores in Lethbridge that do sell local products, you just have to walk 20min more. I'll add that all the products are not priced. Since I was not given a bill (and I forgot to ask for it) I do not know if I was charged twice or if the 4 little bison sticks were overpriced ($8?) and not that great once you read the small print. It seems to want to be a certain kind of store, but it is disapointing.
way over priced, terrible service. they didn't know what they were doing, i can get the same products for cheaper elsewhere and in markets that better serve my community.
