That way, you don't have to worry about guessing games or over-estimates because you receive an exact copy of the total weight with every transaction. Our truck teams are highly trained and insured individuals that share our vision of creating a greener Vancouver. We try to recycle as much as possible through various recycling transfer stations, as well as donate your re-usable goods to local not-for-profit thrift stores. “When we finished at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Scott and I wanted to start a transparent business focused on doing the right thing,” says Barry, co-owner of 505-Junk. They saw a gap in the way the junk removal industry worked, and jumped on it.

“Unlike most of our competition, we charge by the total weight of what we take away, instead of the space it takes up,” he explains, “which is how we pay to get rid of it, so it’s very fair, very transparent.” Charging by weight sets 505-Junk apart from the competition, because it lets customers see exactly where their money is going and eliminates confusion over load sizes or the number of trips required.

“At the end of the day, we’ve created this service for the client, not for any other reason,” says Barry, “So we’re going be fair, open, and do our best to assist them.”

    I was referred to 505 and thought these guys did an excellent job. I really like how they called half n hour before they arrived within the window and would be more then happy to keep passing them along. They even showed me a picture on their Facebook page something that they donated! Just not something i would normally exepct from a junk removal company.
