Ben van der Gracht is from the southern interior of British Columbia. He grew up in Princeton and Grand Forks. He attended Okanagan University College in Kelowna and earned a Bachelor's Degree in the Arts, with a Major in Anthropology, in 2003. He completed Law School at the University of British Columbia in 2009.
Ben spent 3 ½ years teaching English in South Korea, and during that time travelled extensively in East and Southeast Asia. He married a South Korean woman.Ben moved to Kamloops in 2009 after accepting an articled student position at Morelli Chertkow. He enjoys living here, particularly because there is a strong sense of community–people are proud to be from Kamloops.
