I agree with the other reviewer...first time to this store and first time to buy fabric at all ...no one greeted us when we went in, we obviously looked confused and staff members made eye contact with us and no one offered help...when i asked a question there was no smile and the answer was as short as they could make it. Luckily i found what i needed...but i didn't feel like this was the place to go if you needed really help...maybe a shortage of staff...???
I decided to go to Fabricville on Bayers Road to get some fabric to make some bow ties for a nice Christmas present. I was helped by 4 different staff members, and neither of them seemed to be happy to assist me and did not even smile. (one woman even let out a sigh of exasperation when I asked what she would recommend) The entire time I was there I felt as if I was being mocked or laughed at for asking what seemed to be "stupid" questions. I did not know exactly how much fabric I would need and the woman cutting it seemed to think that was stupid of me by saying: "you'd only need this much fabric if you were making bow ties for a lot of people- or a clown." I would have looked around more and gotten more supplies but I did not want to ask anymore questions to be treated as even more inferior. No, I am not a card carrying member or an old woman who has been sewing quilts for 40 years, I am a young adult and while I was in that store I was spoken to as a child. It seems that Fabricville should consider putting a sign on the door telling people that they are not willing to help beginner sewers, because that is the feeling that I got from them.
