We have been in business for 26 years. We sweep chimneys. WETT certified personal for those who need insurance inspections. Chimney liners are available. Masonry chimney help is also available .free wood stove/insert consultation for those who want to buy or up grade. Serving the Eastern Shore. Total Chimney Care pretty much says it all. 26 years into it and we have done it and seen it all, but we still find the odd installation that freaks us out they are so dangerous. This is not a do it yourself business, as any fire department will tell you chimney fires are still their #1 winter call. The most dangerous chimney is any masonry chimney in the center of a house. Home owners believe that creosote [the fuel that a chimney fire feeds on} can be swept off a chimney Not True. To avoid a chimney fire go to Canada tire and for $15 buy a moisture metre for wood, 12% or less no chimney fire 15% or more and you are in trouble, creosote starts building up [chimney fire fuel].

The sweep is to remove the heavy build up of ash & soot that builds up over the year, & to make sure the chimney is safe for another season. Insurance companies ask for WETT inspections to make sure fire burning units of every kind are safe to use and the unit was installed up to building CODE. We also offer info on what is the best kind of wood stoves to buy. 50% of a logs energy is in the smoke that is why new stoves have catalytic burners [smoke shelf] in them. Sellers want you to buy their products, we want you to buy the most efficient {burns less wood for more heat} & the easiest to maintain.
