With both his father and his grandfather in the printing business, it was no surprise when Mike Connon decided to follow in their footsteps. In 1997, Mike bought The Print Place in Ajax when the owner of the company died. "I was working as a co-op student at the shop back then and with the sudden demise of the owner, Bill Scott, his wife presented me with an offer, if I would be interested in buying the place, and the rest is history," says Mike.
He recalled that growing up, he had seen his family associated with this trade so the decision to be in this field was more expected than inspirational. "My educational background is in print and so is my family history, so it was a natural choice," he says.
