I was given a prescription from my doctor to get a medication compounded. I went to Avita to have my prescription filled. I was told that it was too late to have the prescription sent out today, but it would be received by the manufacturer and that the medication would arrive the following day after the RX went in. The prescription would cost me $180.00 and it required a $50.00 deposit. An hour later, I decided to call a compounding pharmacy in Vaughn because I has a bad gut feeling. The other pharmacy charged me 90.00 for the exact same prescription. Kelly Nolan from Avita would not refund my deposit even though the manufacturer did not fill or send out the medication to Avita. Needless to say Avita seems to be a company that charges double the amount for services others offer. Not impressed.
