Me and my mom have been ordering from jumbo dragon in brantford for years and I can honestly say never has the food been anything but delicious and is always made to order as fast and efficiently as possible.I recommend this place to anyone who wants good fast Chinese. We don’t order our Chinese from anywhere else.
The food was great, but the phone service SUCKED!! The Lady who took my order was so rude and didn’t even say goodbye, she just hung up on me! Wow. My family, friends and I have eaten here multiple times for takeout every time the food has tasted fresh and so far always has been right. I go there at least once a week for the combination platter's, large servings and very delicious.
Absolutely disgusted! Ordered the lunch special chicken balls and rice. Go to eat my rice and there is a piece of some kind of animal in my rice. Looked like a windpipe attached to a neck bone piece. I wasn't sure so I asked what part of the chicken it was and they said meat. Um no there is no meat on that piece. I asked if they just ground up the whole chicken and they said no that's just dark meat. Is it beak foot what? Never even offered me different rice. I just walked out disgusted. I will never eat there again.
First time eating at Brantford.... I have to be honest this is the worst Asian restaurant I have been to. I guess they mostly only do take out because.. 1. They so not serve food on plate, only in metal tray. 2. Theyvdo not serve you even basic water( even tho we tipped them well and paid before the food arrived) . their customer service skills need improvement too... We heard very unprofessional giggling and joke In Chinese that was offensive (we are chinese). Anyways.. The service aside... The food was also really really bad. Portion size was big but we had to throw away 60% of it.... My dad's BBQ pork had such a terrible chemical taste to it it was barely edible.. The batter for chickebefore reaching the food .. The food just didn't taste fresh at all.. Very soggy and oily. All we had was some rice and bean sprouts.. Maybe they just had a bad day but for us it was the worst experience!
We had a really great experience last night! The restaurant forgot to put in one of the items and upon getting home we had realized it wasn't there. When I called back to tell them, They were so pleasant and apologetic for their mistake. They went above and beyond when we got there to pick up our item.

When I called for delivery the man was very rude. Didn't let me finish what I was saying cut me off and then hung up without a thank you. New to Brantford based on that alone probably would not call again. My friend recommended it.
Need better manners on the phone after all we are the customers.
I have visited many Chinese restaurants in Brantford and I have to say this is one of those places I dislike. The restaurant is very small, they only have four small tables, and it is always crowded. The food isn't that good either. I got the lemon chicken, with a side order of rice. The lemon chicken was dry, even with the lemon sauce. I also ordered the crabmeat cheese wonton, and they were cold when I got them. The meal was also very expensive. For the lemon chicken, it didn't come with any rice or noodles, and it cost $8, and I had to pay extra to get some rice. The crabmeat cheese wonton were eight small pieces, and I had to pay $6, not worth it. I ended up spending $16 for one person, way too much if you ask me. I have been to better places, I wouldn't come back here.
I've done a lot of looking around for value and food type. We finally tried Jumbo Dragon Chinese last night and holy smokes I was blown away!
I got the sweet and sour chicken / general tso chicken combo platter and for 8 bucks I got SO much food and CHICKEN fried rice! I'm from the states and this is just like back home. I love it SO much.
My husband got almond soo gai / sweet and sour chicken combo and he also loved it.
The only thing I didn't like were the egg rolls. They had a funny taste to them but no big deal the main part of my food was DELICIOUS.
For around 7.95 per platter, I had food for breakfast the next day AND lunch!

vegetables in my rice & cantonese chow mein tasted really old you know how they get limp and wrinkled with a sour taste? breading on almond soo goo tasted rubbery not crunchy
sauce ah just ok. this place is ok but nothing you will remember. Will give it one more try...
