A family that stays together eats together. It might be a variation of the original saying, but it fits appropriately when you meet Dilraj Aryal and his younger brother Yuvraj Aryal. They are the proud owners of the Indian restaurant Bombay Grill, which has several branches in the Greater Toronto Area, including Burlington, Ajax, Hamilton, Milton and Markham.
The brothers worked as chefs in several Indian restaurants in Calgary and Toronto before starting their first restaurant in Burlington. “Therefore, it was a no-brainer and in 2002, we made the obvious but risky decision to open our first restaurant,” says Dilraj.
Dilraj says it was their dream to run their own establishment and they thought it was important to give it at least one good shot. “Failure was never an option, but it was still at the back of our minds even though we had all the necessary skills to be successful,” he says.
The brothers are originally from Delhi, India, but they opted to use Bombay in their restaurant’s name. “The city, Bombay, was more known to Canadians than Delhi, so it preceded over the latter,” says Dilraj. “And since we were excellent at making grilled food, we named our restaurant Bombay Grill.”
We have ordered take-out at least 10x and its always great. We love the food. We have dined in once, and the service wasn't great - so we now just order take-out.
Great Food. Service was friendly. Not the greatest setting though (very dark and too cold). Great place for take-out. If they improved the decor it would be 10/10.
Good restaurant for Indian. One of my favorites...
Good restaurant for Indian. One of my favorites especially in Burlington,Hamilton, Oakville area. Service is good in person however kind of rude on the phone for take out orders.
We get them to deliver. They must be good sales...
We get them to deliver. They must be good sales people because they say they will only deliver if you place "a big order" which means $50 or so.
No problem because the food really is great! Just don't order any dessert. What's up with Indian desserts? They really suck!
I loved the food becuse they make it the way you want and the staff is great. I loved the lamb and butter chicken, best I have had so far in Hamilton/Burlington Area.
