Chatham's Breakfast House & Grille

The service and staff were very organized and accommodating to move our excellent experience we enjoyed to the next level! The chef was excellent food was amazing and liked his very artistic presentation. The chef was very very busy yet took the time to come over and acknowledge his customers.Thats a person who genuinely cares . You can see he exemplifies his caring for the team he surrounds himself with as well .

Pleasantly Surprised

We went for lunch, and while the table was very small for 3 people, the food and service were very very good. I didn't know the theme of the place was Portuguese (my favorite foreign language), but that was the innate charm of both the servers and the decor. Our order came with these fancy very thinly sliced fried plantain chips. Very good, and fun to eat. I only had a club sandwich, but it was fairly good, and my 2 friends also liked their burgers. Unfortunately, a friend and I went back for breakfast the next day, and while most of our food was good. My pancakes could have been used for spackling. The cook is very very good, but he does not know how to make pancakes. His batter was very very heavy and cakey thick, there was no bounce to them, and the flavor was very floury. I don't know, maybe that's how they make pancakes in Portugal or Brazil? But I like mine light and fluffy. I sent them back, and told the waitress, she apologized and said the Cook was more knowledgeable for lunch and dinner, and NOT their usual breakfast person. Like I said this is the ONLY problem I had with them, I love the feel of this place, the staff is so nice, and the food I had other than the pancakes was excellent. I would go back and recommend this place to anyone.

Don't Go There!!

The only good thing about this place was our amazing waitress! She was so nice and happy the whole time we were there. My meal was disgusting. I ordered steak with shrimp and the steak was so tough I could not even cut it. I was very nice about it and told our waitress and she sent over a "manager" who said "sorry" and that was it. Our waitress felt that our bill should be discounted as I didn't even have a bite of the steak due to how bad it was, but the "manager said "sorry" and that was the end of it. I asked her to take the steak off the bill and she said"no the chef did not say I could because it was not his fault that the steak was tough" I will not go back there.

Fab Food

We had great food and great service at this portuguese restaurant we happen to go into. Me and my bf love portuguese food and we enjoyed our meal so much we put ourselve into food heaven. Our female waitress was fantastic. She had a smile on her face, answered all the questions we had about our meal & made sure we were satisfied. The halibut is a MUST!!!!! OMG custards are to die for especially when its recommended by our fabulous waitress. I highly recommend you take a trip down and enjoy a lovely meal.

AMAZING

Great food and great service! this place is the best in town! always packed even on the Wednesday i went for dinner! I will be going back this weekend with some friends- the lamb here is amazing!

Not bad

Went for dinner with some friends. Service was much better/faster/nicer than I've experienced here before. I orded the panko Pickeral, and was a little disappointed to see the breading on the fish was not panko but rather just regular old breadcrumbs and was too heavy. Otherwise the food was great. Did not get the sweet potatoe chips like I'm used to and was a little disappointed.

A classy place for Breakfast

The better half wanted a nicer beakfast atmosphere this time around, so we hit the CBHG-C. The front area has a high, deep red tiled ceiling, the tables and chairs are comfy and classy, and you don't feel crowded in this room. Linen napkins with your fork and knife. The waiter we had was very professional and friendly, and coffee refills came around several times. Their menu carries all the standard breakfasts, but we wanted something different. i had the breakfast Frittata and my wife had the caramel apples and french toast. Both meals were generous portions and very tasty. Sure, it's a couple more bucks each over the standard bacon and eggs, but it's nice to know there's a place in town that does a high end breakfast when we can afford to indulge.
