I have been taking my animals - 2 cats, and 2 dogs to Dr. Sims for the last 10 years. We have received excellent, personalized service from this very caring clinic headed by a highly skilled, competent, and experienced doctor. Thank you Doctor Sims!
First, I would like to COMPLETELY DISAGREE by the review written by Steph McDonald. Of course we are enititled to our own opinions but sometimes our eyes are shaded with the negativity we have within ourselves. Not everyone is out to get you. Services do cost money.
Second, Our dog was very sick for about a month and finally passed away in November. As is every family pet, she was part of our family and treated with the same respect and love that we show to each other. The amount of sorrow about taking her into a vet to have her put down was beyond belief. We were recommended to Sims Animal Hospital and thank goodness that is who we chose. From the moment we got there we were s hown comfort, understanding and support that we were making the right choice. Each stage of the process was painful but the staff and the doctor were THERE FOR US AND FOR OUR DOG. We were given private moments before with our dog and when everything was finished we were offered a clipping of our dogs hair and a few moments of privacy afterwards.
It was nothing short of complete care, understanding and sympathy, the true components needed in this situation.
That was 6 months ago and since then we have received 2 sympathy cards handwritten and signed by all staff members.
Dr. SIms and staff are one of a kind with real hearts and real feelings. My family and I firmly believe that this type of place is a gem and rarely comes along in the type of money hungry society we live in.
She appears so sweet and nice but my personal opinion is that she will make sure your pet stays in there for as long as possible. I think she is in it for the money first, animals second.
Recently we had to put our dog down; it was a very painful moment. Dr Sims was just AMAZING. The whole team was just courteous, accommodating and extremely professional. They where so understanding, caring and treated our dog with the utmost respect. What blew me away was that Dr Simms took time to write us a hand written letter with thoughts of encouragement. What a great team! If ever we decide to add a new member to our family, i would never ever go anywhere else. Thank you Dr Sims you have no idea how much we appreciate what you did for us.
