This restaurant is amazing, the best restaurant in London by far. The food is always made to order and so tasty. Great chefs, love watching the planes but hate that it is so far out of town. It's a special treat before a vacation.
Nice bright room with excellent view of runways. Great service, nicely paced by Chris. Kitchen visible behind glass wall. Menu is varied with several seafood choices. We especially liked the Caesar salad dressing, not too powerful yet very tasty. Soup de jour was great. Entrees were well presented hot and flavourful. The home made desserts were beautifully presented and topped the meal off nicely. Steamwhistle on tap. We will definitely go back.
This is the best restaurant in London outside of the core. Watching the planes land while eating lunch is a treat and all of the windows make the atmosphere bright and cheerful. The food is always good and the staff are super friendly. It's an ideal spot for business lunches. The entrees are well priced and you always get good value for the money.
It is tricky to find ( not a big sign just go to the end of the road and right, besides Diamond aircraft training center). The service was prompt, nice setting. My partner with the shrimp and the soup loved the dishes. My food was perfect, the mix of the ingredients and right balance of flavours made it a great experience,I cannot wait to come back when the patio is opened. The service was superb, definitely I will come back.
My friends and I arrived to a rather noisy and chilly dining room. We ordered our meal at 12:40 pm and didn't receive it until 1:40 pm. The coffee was luke warm and we weren't offered any bread before or during our m eal. We had to ask the waiter to bring us some.I ordered a shrimp, scallop, mussel, perch entree which souned tasty. Unfortunately, my meal was very unappetizing in appearance as the fish floated around in a watery broth in a bowl. The individual fish pieces were ordinary in taste. Not what I expected at all. My friends ordered the tiger shrimp entree with pasta. One enjoyed it, the other did not. We asked about dessert and the waiter went to get a menu but never returned. Another waiter who was actually the bartender, gave us a verbal rundown of desserts so there was no menu in the first place which we had been waiting sometime to hear about. At that point, we were rather frustrated with the poor service so chose to end our time at Katana Cafe. Needless to say we were all disappointed with the experience as we had heard such rave reviews about it. We won't be returning anytime soon.
