Great Place for food and music.
My wife had the salmon; I had the fish and chips with haddock. The batter on the fish and chips was amassing. Everything was great. My wife and I are going back.

"Heart is where the Home is!" Very true, the owner made us feel right at home. Everything was magnificent and the bar staff, as well was ,great!
After 5 winery, we needed a break. I had spotted the Irish Harp Pub in this website as a "Have to go" restaurant. The place is easy to find. We got there at 2PM, got a table immediately. The waiter was very friendly, professional and asked us a few times if everything was fine. While we waited, he served us some home made delicious kettles chips. We got served in a reasonable time. And the food was excellent. I will recommend it to anyone who goes to Niagara-On-The-Lake. I really enjoy the experience.
Do not order Sausage & Mash. The sausages are the same as Oktoberfest Sausages! Definately not Irish or the best taste. Fish & chips are fine. E mailed the pub, but got no response. Told the waitress that the sausages were not what I expected, but she did nothing about it. Disappointing and expensive.
Decor, service and food quality were first rate. Food was served in a timely and hot fashion. Beer was served at correct temperature. Waitress was friendly. Atmosphere with celtic music rounded off the experience.
This was a lovley pub, beautiful decor. The food was the best I had while visiting Niagara at the lake. Our waitress, was charming and so much fun. I cant think of a negative thing to say. Excellent variety of food and drink, best prices I saw anywhere and quality as well.
Decided to revisit this place again after my previous negative review over a year ago. The decor hasn't changed - still warm and inviting. The fish and chips were not perfect but still very good. The prices were not exhorbitant. And the couple playing Celtic music provided a wonderful atmosphere. A good pub - and a good resturant. PS. The previous reviewer who claimed my review was bogus should note that 2006 comes after 2005.
Despite all the bad reviews I read for this place, I decided to give it a try for dinner with my friend. The staff certainly had their hands full. I quickly discovered they were having a trivia night and the place was absolutely full. We were going to leave but the manager quickly made room for us. I ordered the fish and chips and my friend the Irish Stew. I was a little surprised when the food literally came 5 minutes later giver or take 1 minute and my immediate thought was that the food has been sitting under a heat lamp all night. Either way, my meal was gorgeous. The serving size of the fish was massive and I only ordered the smaller dish. The fish, I think it was halibut, was as white as snow and very tender. Very reasonably priced too, 9.99 I think. The atmoshpere is brilliant too and the wait staff although very stretched thin was extremely accommodating considering how packed the place was. My only complaint, since this is a review site was that the soda was flat and the batter on the fish was just a touch too thick. I would definitely eat there again and recommend this place to all my friends.
Gords got an axe to grind somewhere. This place didnt even open until August 2006. He couldnt have been there in winter 2005-06. The food isnt bad but the service is. The prices are still too high Editor''s Note: Gord review indicates he visited in November 2006, not November 2005.
If I could have eaten the decor I'd have been a happy guy. The food was less than memorably and the price was shockingly high. I went for the so-called Celtic band - a tribute to mediocrity they were. However, they did compliment the food very well.
Our server was prompt but her boss? sn old guy was hovering over and harrassing her to the point that it interfered with our enjoyment of our meal. The bangers were poor. The ribs were ok but overpriced for what they were. Tasted like heinz BBQ sauce
We visited twice last winter - first as a couple, then later as a group of eight. As an Irish bar this place certainly has an inviting decor. But with both visits the food was very mediocre - despite the usual exhorbitant Niagara-on-the-Lake prices. Most of us complained and decided we'd never to go back. I can only recall that my bangers and mash were more like a few anaemic sausages swimming in a mashed potato and gravy soup. Hope it's improved since then.
The food was exquisite, especially the lobster bisque and the steak and guinness pie. For a pub, I was very pleasantly surprised by the food quality. Our only complaint was that our waiter was a bit slow, as it was the bartender that was waiting on us. I would definitely return for dinner again.
