Went on the recommendation of this web site. At first glance wondered if we had made the right choice as from the outside of the restaurant it looks very tiny and a bit dingy. Once inside, all that changes. This is a lovely little dining room split into three seperate areas, one of which you can sit on the floor on cushions and eat off of tables that sit low to the floor. The decor is beautiful and the tables are covered with deep blue cloths and beautifully set. We were met by a lovely lady in Thai dress and seated promptly, even though we did not have a reservation. The service throughout the evening was excellent. We all ordered different dishes that we could share, as we had two young children with us and wanted them to experience the different tastes. The mango salad was the best any of us has ever eaten, the Spicy Thai rice, Pad Thai and Cashew chiken were also perfectly seasoned and excellent. ( they allow you to choose how spicy you like your food and they cook it to order.) The chicken satay is grilled on a little hibachi at your table on skewers and served with a delightful peanut sauce. The entree dishes were plentiful and beautifully presented. The only complaints I have are that the Lemongrass Tom Yum soup ( which is my favorite ) did not have the tanginess to it that I am used to having in other Thai restaurants, and the little hibachi creates quite a heavy smoke odor which is prevalent throughout the restaurant. They should have some sort of air purifier to get rid of this. In all, we all agreed that the ambiance, food and service made this little restaurant a must when we are in the St. Catharines area. Thanks Restaurantica.
