“When you make a pot on the wheel, you put a little bit of yourself into it,” Annette Hansen, owner of Cobalt Gallery, says of her craft. “A little part of your heart and soul goes into these pieces.”
Annette has had a lifelong love of art, but she didn’t fall in love with clay until she was at school overseas. “I got involved with clay because I wanted to work with my hands,” Annette says. “It’s got such a history and it’s endless what you can do with it. And the technology has only improved that lets you create something beautiful with materials that are still taken from the ground.”
Annette's passion for clay, both in creating and teaching others, eventually turned into Cobalt Gallery, a local studio and gallery where people can learn how to work with clay and buy locally made pottery.
