To be honest I was really skeptical of MAX before I went in. They were a lot of posting about it being a scam. I did my interview with them a few months ago and I decided to sign up. They...(like 99% of talent agencies in Toronto except the ones that only accept established actors and models) don't pay for your photos. They do however allow you to get your own which was great because I had a professional porfolio already and they let me use it. I have since been getting quite a bit of work.
It's a good agency. The agent is attentive to us and cares about my daughter's goals and she's strong and a good advisor. The new booking person is good too. We had a few auditions but just started so will update this when things get going.
I’ve been with Max Agency for almost a year now, and the only thing I have to say is they are an absolute pleasure to work with. They do all the possible things they can do to get you jobs, and they make accommodations for you if you are not able to attend certain things. Everyone at the office is very kind, and are always willing to help in any way they can. Signing with Max Agency is a great way to pursue anyone’s dream within this industry.
I have never seen an agency work harder to keep me busy than Max Agency - and I've been in the business for nearly 15 years. They are always in the loop, have some interesting opportunities for me to try and they are very good at matching people with good opportunities. They always have an audition or two for me, and I love how well they work for me.
Max Agency is a great representative. I have been with them for over a year and my nephew will soon be represented by them, too. I told my sister how well they treat me and the rest of their clients because she had some bad experiences with someone else.
My opinion is that Max Agency is a very professional agency and that they have my best interest at heart and do whatever it takes to represent me correctly. I give them two thumbs up!
