Very disappointed with this organization. My dog Simba was seen my Dr. Degrass 4 years ago. I moved out of the area and my local vet had no appointments so I reached out to this vet and was totally blown off. My dog had some lumps on his neck. I called in and they said send us pictures of my dogs wounds and they would respond by email or phone. After diagnosing our pet with Cushing's disease, The vet gave the Trilostane treatment to our pet. At that time our pet had already been diagnosed with Stage 2 kidney disease. Despite repeated insistence from us that we had read that pets with kidney disease should at all costs not be taking Trilostane, and that we noticed our pet eating less and had started vomiting repeatedly, the vet reassured us that our pet was alright and should keep taking the medication. Have been with Drs. Teeger and Cormier at Secords for close to 30 years. They have diagnosed problems early and treated them immediately. One of my cats is approaching 21 years and they have successfully treated her breast cancer since March 2008. A few years ago my other cat had serious problems, so they brought in a cardiologist and ultrasound specialist to better diagnose and recommend treatment for him. They are progressive thinkers and hired a homeopathic vet several years ago to provide alternative treatments. Would not even consider going elsewhere.
I recommend that if you do indeed choose to frequent the Secord Animal Hospital, you ensure that you are paying for the diagnosis of an expert, not the assumptions of someone being paid to answer phones. Our family will not be returning, and if i could give a rating of zero, I would.
