“I am a computer programmer by trade, but I must admit I never loved it; I have a hard time being cooped up in an office by myself all day,” says Tony Minchella, who runs Cadeaux Unik with his friend and associate, Mario Mottillo. “Mario and I have been friends for a long time. I started the business on my own in the ’80s, and then Mario hopped on in the mid-’90s,” he recalls.
As you would expect with a name like Cadeaux Unik, the store abounds with high-end gifts. And the selection is only upstaged by the owners' insistence on offering personalized service to each customer. “Our clientele knows us very well; we see a lot of familiar faces coming by the boutique," says Tony. "We tailor our service to all of our customers, we listen to their needs and provide them with the best gift to surprise their loved ones with.”
