Since March 2014, pet owners from the Sud-Ouest neighbourhood no longer need to trek to Westmount or Verdun to find everything they need for their puppies and kittens. Pointe Saint-Charles’ Boutique Pawse, Paul Goodship and Katrina Sargent’s brainchild, is your local shop for all things pet related.

Boasting a wide range of food and accessories, mostly for cats and dogs, the store fills a niche market in a neighbourhood where residents couldn’t find quality items for their pets before.

"We’ve been living in Pointe Saint-Charles since 2012,” Paul recalls. “And as dog owners and lovers, we always thought it missed a specialty store devoted to pets and their owners. We realized we could do the place a favour by opening such a boutique, so we decided to dive head first. Plus, Katrina had been a dog walker for a few years and we are very knowledgeable about animals; it all came to us naturally."
